Yuriy - Painter, Graphic artist and Theater designer.

In his style, the influences of the expressionist, the cubist and the surrealist movements are obvious.

Yuriy works in oil painting techniques, in the genres of plot-thematic paintings, portraits, still lifes, and landscapes. He is engaged in graphics in ink, gouache and pastels techniques.

The artist himself says the following about his work: “Painting is one of the tools for understanding the world and oneself. I don’t have a life motto as such, but the words of the late 19th and early 20th-century artist and graphic artist Paul Klee are close to me: “Art does not reproduce what is visible, but makes visible what is not always so.”

 

The artist's works are in collections of galleries, museums and associations, and in private collections in Russia, Ukraine and abroad.
