Yegor Nachinkin

Artist from Russia 🇷🇺

Yegor Nachinkin was born in Leningrad in 1963. His mother worked as a restorer in the Hermitage, so the boy got acquainted with the masterpieces of world art at an early age.

About himself, Egor Nachinkin says: - How can one answer the inevitable question "What does the artist want to say?" Nothing to say, something to create, namely a magic space where a still action is taking place. In a sense my paintings are like a Rorschach test: the involuntary urge to interpret, stimulated by the pseudo-real nature of the objects depicted, makes the spectator project his own inner world onto the picture before him. As for me, painting is a way to visualize my personal metaphysics with a high degree of abstraction.

Yegor is a member of the Union of Independent Artists and takes part in collective exhibitions in St. Petersburg galleries. His works can be seen in private collections in the countries of the former Soviet Union, as well as in Europe.
